Illini volleyball gears up for Big Ten season
Even though it’s been a year since the Illini volleyball team opened their Big Ten season with a loss to Northwestern, to the team it seems like a century ago.
“It’s like ancient history to us now,” said Illinois head coach Don Hardin. “We’re not really thinking so much about last year.”
The Illini have spent so much time together since January between winter and summer practices and their summer trip to Brazil, the Illini feel they have been together for years since their last Big Ten contest.

Blue beats Orange in Illini world series
The Orange and Blue World Series came down to the final game tied with each team having two wins.
Sophomore catcher Chris Robinson and senior outfielder Vince DiMaria stepped up in the final game to lead the Blue squad to a series win. Robinson batted 3-for-3 while DiMaria continued his series success batting 2-for-3.
