Illini get peek at championship course
The Big Ten Championships are weeks away, but the Illini will get a small glimpse of them this weekend. Forest Akers Golf Course is the site of this year’s Championship meet. All eleven Big Ten teams will travel to the East Lansing, Mich., golf course on Nov. 2 to race for the division title. The Illini will have the opportunity to scope out the course today, when they race in the Spartan Invitational at 2 p.m. Only four Big Ten teams, including Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State and Illinois have the chance to race at the course before the Big Ten Championships.

Although Hurricane Isabel is over 900 miles away, its effect is being felt here in Champaign.
