  Illini stumbles over Loyola
Not many need an 8:20 p.m. wakeup call on a Tuesday night. Illinois woke up from its slumber, down 8-20 in the third match, grumpy and took it out on Loyola in the fouth game 30-22. The Illini (8-1), defeated the Ramblers (4-6) in four games Tuesday night (30-27, 30-21, 23-30, 30-22).

 'Korndog' on a roll
The Illini call him ěKorn-dog,î ěKorn-bread,î or just straight ěBread,î but junior receiver Mark Kornfeld could have a few other nicknames coming to him after his first three games this season.
Men's Basketball
 Men's basketball schedule rereleased
The Illinois menís basketball team will open the season 794 miles from where they originally planned. Initially, Illinois was to open the season in the Coaches Vs. Cancer Classic Nov. 14 in New York. Now, the team will open at Assembly Hall, on Nov. 22 against Western Illinois.
