Report recommends advertising department disbanded
The committee report, which was originally due to be turned in to the Provost Sept. 2, was chaired by Jim Coleman and consisted of evaluations and future recommendations for each of the three academic units ó advertising, journalism and the Institute of Communications Research ó as well as WILL broadcasting.

Illini stumbles over Loyola
Not many need an 8:20 p.m. wakeup call on a Tuesday night.
Illinois woke up from its slumber, down 8-20 in the third match, grumpy and took it out on Loyola in the fouth game 30-22. The Illini (8-1), defeated the Ramblers (4-6) in four games Tuesday night (30-27, 30-21, 23-30, 30-22).
