Champaign:

A 21-year-old man was arrested for peering into residences at the 500 block of West John Street on Tuesday.

According to a police report, officers saw the man tamper with a motor vehicle and after further investigation found him standing in the bushes looking into residences.

An unknown person stole 200 CDs from a 23-year-old man's vehicle at the 1200 block of Washington Street on Monday.

According to a police report, the CDs were stolen while the car was parked on the street. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

A crib sheet and pillow were stolen from a 22-year-old woman at the 1500 block of Kiler Drive on Monday.

According to a police report, the woman left the items in the laundry room of her apartment building where an unknown person took them.

A 47-year-old man was arrested for hitting and kicking a 39-year-old woman at 300 West Church Street on Tuesday.

According to a police report, the dispute took place at Westside Park.

A 15-year-old girl attempted to steal underwear from Famous Barr, 2000 N. Neil St., on Monday.

According to a police report, a juvenile appointment has been set.

Urbana:

A 38-year-old man was shot by his 72-year-old father in the face at the 800 block of West Fairview Avenue on Tuesday.

According to a police report, the father was taken to the Urbana Police Department and later to jail. The victim was taken to Carle Hospital for surgery. The injury is not life-threatening according to police reports.

A 19-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were involved in a verbal argument at the 2000 block of Easy Street on Tuesday.

According to a police report, the man ran to a nearby yard when the the woman called police. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

An unknown person stole a 29-year-old man's trash can at the 1600 block of Rutledge Drive on Monday.

According to a police report, the full trash can was taken sometime during the night. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

A stereo was stolen from a 25-year-old man's vehicle at the 2500 block of Prairie Green Drive on Wednesday.

According to a police report, an unknown person broke through the vehicle's sunroof to steal the stereo. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after his dog bit a 50-year-old woman at the 1300 block of Mumford Drive.

According to a police report, the woman was walking on a sidewalk when the dog jumped on her and bit her. The man was issued a notice to appear in court.

A 26-year-old man was attacked by an unknown suspect at the 1000 block of East Illinois Street early Wednesday.

According to a police report, the suspect asked the victim for money. When the victim refused, the suspect slashed him in the face. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.
