Iraq occupation?
Alex Spektor, sophomore in engineering, declines a pamphlet from senior in LAS Jen Tayabji of the Progressive Resource/Action Cooperative (PRC), which held a public speech on the south patio of the Illini Union on Wednesday. The unadvertised speech, which opposed U.S. military occupation in Iraq, drew only passers-by. "We wanted to reach those who normally don't think about the messages we spread," said PRC member and senior in engineering Karin Lange (not pictured). "We didn't want a rally."
