After the Illinois men's tennis team sent three players to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional semifinals last season, few thought the men could top that feat this year. The Illini did when junior Chris Martin and senior Michael Calkins won the doubles crown at the tournament. Three Illini reached the semifinals as well. Calkins lost in the finals. |

The Illinois women's basketball team is ready for another successful season and have the confidence necessary to emerge at the top of the Big Ten. The women will host their annual Orange and Blue Scrimmage tonight at Assembly Hall. |
