For the record

An Oct. 17 story on the FDA's investigation of the University misquoted University spokeswoman Robin Kaler. The story should have said that the University misunderstood the FDA's definition of experimental pigs. The University believed that only pigs with a transgene were banned from sale, when the FDA prohibits sale of all pigs involved in an experiment — even control pigs which never received the gene.

An Oct. 10 story on Illinois Student Government should have said that ISG has $45,000 left of funding.

An Oct. 9 story on a random student should have said that the radio program This American Life is distributed on public radio by Public Radio International.

An Oct. 7 story on Beckwith Hall should have said that Katherine Johnson, assistant director at Beckwith, does all the hiring, training and work with personal assistants.
