Champaign:

A 20-year-old Chicago man and a 20-year-old Downers Grove, Ill., man were arrested Saturday for damaging two windows at the 100 block of East Green Street.

According to a police report, the two men threw cans at the windows, breaking them. The men were given a notice to appear in court.

An unknown suspect damaged a car last Tuesday while trying to rob it.

According to a police report, the car was at the 1500 block of North Neil Street when someone tried to steal the car's stereo. The stereo was removed but was still in the car. Both the stereo and the dashboard were damaged. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

An unknown suspect damaged a mirror Thursday morning at Legends, 522 E. Green St.

According to a police report, a mirror inside a bathroom was broken. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A vehicle was damaged on Tuesday at the 1400 block of North Champaign Street.

According to a police report, the vehicle was keyed and had staples in its tires. At the time of the report, the police had no suspects.

A wallet is suspected of being stolen Sunday at a residence at the 1600 block of West Bradley Avenue.

According to a police report, the victim had several people visiting and noticed after they left that the wallet was gone, which contained her Social Security card, drivers license, two credit cards and a checkbook.

Urbana:

The Urbana Police Department assisted the Urbana Fire Department Wednesday night during a fire at an apartment building at the 700 block of Elm Street.

According to a police report, the police helped with traffic and crowd control. All occupants of the building were evacuated without serious injuries.

An unknown suspect broke into an apartment Wednesday at the 900 block of Colorado Avenue.

According to a police report, the offender forced entry into the apartment and rearranged the property. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Five girls ran away Wednesday from the Cunningham Children's Home, 1301 N. Cunningham Avenue.

According to a police report, three 13-year-old girls, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl left the premises without permission and have not returned.

University:

A 19-year-old Urbana man was arrested Wednesday near the intersection of Sixth and John streets for having an outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance and drug equipment.

According to a police report, the man was pulled over for having expired registration and license plates. It was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant and officers found a bag of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

A racing bike was destroyed Sunday while parked in the racks at the 1200 block of South Fourth Street.

According to a police report, witnesses said they saw three men beating on the bike with a parking meter head. The bike was valued at $1,200. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
