A 48-year-old Urbana woman was arrested and taken to jail Tuesday night for burglary.

According to a police report, the woman entered Kohl's, 109 Convenience Center Road, and took merchandise which she then placed in a plastic bag from the register. She then left the store without paying.

A 20-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning for possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a police report, officers were transporting the intoxicated man home from the 100 block of East Daniel Street when they found the drug paraphernalia. He was cited for both the drug-related items and for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

nTwo Springfield, Ill. teens were arrested for stealing clothing from TJ Maxx, 21 E. Marketview Dr., on Friday night.

According to a police report, the 14- and 15-year-old girls removed price tags from the clothes and then concealed the items.

Urbana:

An unknown offender threw eggs at a car on the 1700 block of Colorado Street early Wednesday morning.

According to a police report, the offender broke the rear windshield while throwing eggs at the car. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

There was another report of criminal damage to property in the 1700 block of Colorado Street around 11 p.m. on Monday.

According to a police report, an unknown offender poured sugar in the gas tank of a car. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday afternoon at a high school at the 1000 block of south Race street, for stealing a 17-year-old girl's cell phone.

According to a police report, the crime occurred Friday afternoon.

An unknown offender stole multiple items from a car at the 1600 block of Melrose Park Court early Tuesday morning.

According to a police report, a radar detector and a remote control used for the car's CD player were stolen after the car's top was left open overnight. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Two teenage boys were arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center after stealing from Marathon Oil, 508 Vine St., Tuesday night.

The 12- and 13-year-old boys stole a gray Smokers Outpost stand and other items from the store. A witness saw them take the unpurchased items outside, according to a police report.

University:

An unknown offender stole a bicycle from bicycle racks outside Grainger Library on either Oct. 9 or 10.

No arrests have been made and the bike has not been recovered, according to the police report.

Police were called to the Main Library and Psychology Laboratory on Monday night. A bomb threat was called in to the information desk at the library.

According to the police report, an 18-year-old Urbana man was taken into custody and later released after an 18-year-old Alsip, Ill. woman confessed to making the threat.
