Champaign:

• A 63-year-old woman reported her purse stolen by a 25-year-old man Monday night.

According to a police report, the woman was walking near the 50 block of East Anthony Street from a restaurant to her vehicle. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

• A 48-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting on Sunday night at Kmart, 800 Bloomington Rd.

According to a police report, the man attempted to leave the store with a bottle of vodka he did not pay for.

• A 20-year-old Hickory Hills, Ill., man, a 20-year-old Palos Park, Ill., man, and a 20-year-old Frankfort, Ill., man were cited for underage drinking Wednesday morning at the 600 block of East Daniel Street. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana:

• A 15-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday night for theft.

According to a police report, the boy stole a scientific calculator last week from Schnucks, 200 N. Vine St. He returned to the store Wednesday night with the stolen merchandise.

• A 15-year-old girl was arrested on Monday for taking an IBM laptop computer from The Prairie Center for Substance Abuse, 122 W. Hill St.

According to a police report, she was receiving treatment from the center when she took the computer.

• An 18-year-old Champaign man was arrested Monday night in Crystal Lake Park on a valid warrant.

According to a police report, the man was driving in the park after dark. When the officer ran a check on the man, he discovered there was a warrant for his arrest.

University:

• A 21-year-old Champaign man and a 21-year-old Chicago man were cited for illegal transportation of alcohol Wednesday morning.

According to a police report, the vehicle the men were driving in knocked down a traffic signal pole and went into the ditch near the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Windsor Road. The Champaign man also faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

• A 22-year-old Northbrook, Ill., man was arrested early Thursday morning for aggravated battery.

According to a police report, an officer found him and another man fighting near the 500 block of East Daniel Street. According to witnesses, the man slapped a 19-year-old Darien, Ill., woman on the buttocks as she walked by. When the woman's boyfriend confronted the arrestee, he punched the woman's boyfriend.

• A cell phone was stolen on Wednesday night from the Undergraduate Library after it was left unattended.

According to a police report, no suspects have been located.
