Champaign:

A 26-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning after being pulled over by police.

According to a police report, the man was stopped for improper lane usage and was found in possession of under 30 grams of cannabis. He was taken to jail.

A 16-year-old boy, 15-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy were caught shoplifting Monday at TJ Maxx, 21 E. Marketview Drive.

According to a police report, the boys concealed several items of clothing and were apprehended. Juvenile appointments were set, and the boys were released to their parents.

A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection to the charge of shoplifting Monday at Kmart, 800 W. Bloomington Road.

According to a police report, the man entered the store with an empty bag, placed six bottles of alcohol in the bag and tried to leave the store. He was taken to jail.

A 19-year-old woman reported Monday two tires on her vehicle had been slashed by an unknown offender.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana:

A 44-year-old man reported damage to his property Monday at the 300 block of Cottage Grove Avenue.

According to a police report, an unknown offender used a can of red spray paint to paint a line along the victim's fence bordering the north edge of the property. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 17-year-old Springfield, Ill., girl was arrested in connection to the charge of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and obstruction of justice late Monday night.

According to a police report, the girl was seen drinking and when approached by police, provided two false dates of birth.

A 23-year-old female was arrested late Monday night near the intersection of East Colorado Street and Philo Road after being pulled over by police.

According to a police report, officers responded to a complaint of people smoking cannabis near the laundry room. When police arrived, two people were starting to drive away. Police stopped the car and found the passenger had two warrants for her arrest.

A 43-year-old man was arrested Monday evening on a valid warrant.

According to a police report, officers responded to a 911 hang-up call and on arrival determined that it was accidental. One of the occupants had a valid warrant issued for his arrest.

University:

Employees of the Intensive English Institute, 1205 W. Nevada St., reported an office burglary on Monday.

According to a police report, a cash box containing $1,000 in cash and $2,100 in checks were missing, as well as the keys to the box. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Several people witnessed a hit-and-run accident at the 1000 block of South Fourth Street early Tuesday morning.

According to a police report, the witnesses said a green Ford Explorer struck a Pontiac Sunfire near the driver's side tire and then proceeded northbound on Fourth Street. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

A 68-year-old woman reported stolen property on Sunday morning.

According to a police report, the woman was missing two pairs of earrings, which she claimed were stolen by a 10-year-old Farmer City, Ill., girl. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
