Champaign:

A 20-year-old Homewood, Ill., man was arrested Sunday for biting a 20-year-old Naperville, Ill., woman and breaking her cell phone.

According to a police report, the two were fighting over car keys at the 300 block of East Armory Street when the man bit the woman. When the woman tried to call for help, he broke her phone.

A 17-year-old Urbana boy was arrested early Wednesday morning for retail theft at Bigfoot, 609 E. University Ave.

According to a police report, the boy stole seven packages of snack food. He was issued a notice to appear in court.

A 33-year-old woman reported on Monday that an unknown suspect entered her garage at the 400 block of West Vine Street and stole property.

According to a police report, two bags of charcoal and a container of lighter fluid were stolen. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

A 44-year-old woman reported Monday that a 13-year-old boy used a baseball bat to destroy items in her home at the 2200 block of Rebecca Drive.

According to a police report, the suspect got upset and destroyed five furnishings. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Four men, ages 18 to 21, and an 18-year-old Chicago man were arrested early Wednesday for leaving Steak & Shake, 1709 S. Neil St., without paying for their food.

According to a police report, they were issued notices to appear in court.

Urbana:

A 24-year-old Champaign man was arrested Tuesday at a business at the 1800 block of Philo Road for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.

According to a police report, the suspect was intoxicated and would not cooperate with the officer. He was taken to jail.

A 53-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a revoked drivers license.

According to a police report, the man was arrested at the intersection of Route 45 and Interstate 74.

University:

An unknown suspect stole a tool bag and tools from a truck at the 1500 block of South Oak Street between Saturday and Monday.

According to a police report, the keys were later recovered from the bed of a pickup truck at a local hotel. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

A 42-year-old Champaign man was arrested Tuesday for domestic battery at his 28-year-old girlfriend's residence at the 300 block of Griggs Street.

According to a police report, the suspect threatened to hit the woman. She waited until he passed out from intoxication to call the police.

Two 19-year-old women were briefly detained on Monday after a police officer found them smoking marijuana in the Arboretum, 1800 S. Lincoln Ave.

According to a police report, the officer confiscated a bag of cannabis and a pipe from the women. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
