Angry assistants

Sandy Cox, a union member and certified nursing assistant (CNA), holds signs encouraging passing cars to honk their horns in support of CNAs during a picket outside Champaign County Nursing Home, 1701 E. Main St., Urbana, on Wednesday. The demonstrators, consisting of CNAs from the nursing home and American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees L-900-C members, were out on Main Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon to show their discontent with current levels of wages and benefits for CNAs allotted by the Champaign County Board.
