University engineering students will be showing their programming prowess and see how their skills stack up against programmers from around the world after placing first in the regional qualifier for the Association for Computer Machinery’s annual International Collegiate Programming Contest earlier this month. Men's cross country finishes 8th at NCAA Regional
The future looks bright for the Illinois men’s cross country team, but the potential could not come together during the 2003 season that ended Saturday at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Stillwater, Okla. “Just like any sport, as you mature physically and experience-wise they’ll have the maturity,” said Illinois head cross country coach Paul Pilkington. “We’re young. Out of that group that went to the Region we only lose (senior) Brent (Pfeiffer) and the guys know what they need to do as far as developing further.”
