Champaign:

An unknown person entered a residence belonging to a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman, at the 200 block of East John Street, and stole two purses on Saturday.

According to a police report, one of the women was in the shower when the burglary took place. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

Two 21-year-old men were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at the 100 block of South Wright Street on Sunday.

According to a police report, an officer noticed the items in plain view while interviewing the men. Both men were issued notices to appear in court.

Police arrested 17 people during a bar check at the 700 block of South Sixth Street on Sunday.

According to a police report, charges included obstructing justice and minors in possession of alcohol. Many of the arrestees were issued notices to appear in court.

An unknown person stole a 21-year-old man's motor scooter at the 200 block of East Green Street on Sunday.

According to a police report, the scooter was parked in a building's parking lot when the theft took place. No suspects had been located at the time of the report.

An 18-year-old woman reported that while her car was stopped at a stop light on Nov. 3, an unknown woman attempted to pull her from her vehicle at the 1800 block of North Prospect Avenue.

According to a police report, the two women began to fight and then both fled the scene. The offender had not been located at the time of the report.

A 19-year-old man was admitted to a hospital for treatment after a fight at the 900 block of South Oak Street on Sunday.

According to a police report, the man had been involved in a two-person fight when the other man fled. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

A 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of cannabis and drug equipment on Nov. 3 at the 300 block of Comanche Drive.

According to a police report, an officer was executing a search warrant when he discovered the cannabis and equipment.

Urbana:

A 38-year-old man was arrested after running a red light at the 900 block of Fairview Avenue on Tuesday.

According to a police report, the officer found that the man had a warrant for his arrest and was taken to jail.

An unknown person stole a dog belonging to a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man at the 1300 block of South Vine Street on Oct. 31.

According to a police report, the dog was taken when the two men were away from the house and was later located in a suspect's home. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
