University Idol
Sherrika Ellison, graduate student, sings as Aretha Franklin during WBML-FM's One Mic Talent Competition in Lincoln Theater on Friday night. Contestants were judged in an American Idol manner by two representatives from Beatman Records and Atlantic Records for items such as creativity, stage presence, eye contact and dynamics. The winner, Porsche King (not pictured), junior in business, received a song deal from Chicago-based Beatman Records.
