Champaign:

An unknown person threw a rock into the cafeteria of Bromley Hall early Saturday morning.

According to a police report, no one was injured and only the window was damaged.

A 19-year-old Lynwood, Ill., man was arrested in front of a bar on the 600 block of Daniel Street Sunday morning for obstructing justice and resisting an officer.

According to a police report, bar security flagged down the police and asked them to remove the man from the bar. The man then gave the officers a false name of a person with an outstanding warrant. The man was also issued a notice to appear in court.

An 18-year-old Champaign man was ordered to exit the school grounds at a high school at the 900 block of Crescent Road in Champaign Friday afternoon.

According to a police report, the suspect threatened to harm the dean of the school. The suspect had not been located at the time of the report.

A 17-year-old Gifford, Ill., girl reported her purse lost at Kmart, 800 W. Bloomington Road, Saturday evening.

According to a police report, the purse contained a driver's license, checkbook, social security card and a savings book.

A 19-year-old Streamwood, Ill., man reported his apartment on the 500 block of Bash Court had been burglarized Saturday evening.

According to a police report, a laptop computer, backpack and calculator were among the items taken.

Urbana:

An unknown subject pumped gas into a car, then left without paying at the Mobil-Super Pantry, 507 W. University Ave., Sunday morning, according to a police report.

A 26-year-old Champaign woman was arrested for driving under the influence and traffic sign violations on the 1100 block of Illinois Street Sunday morning.

According to a police report, the subject was observed walking and appeared intoxicated. When she began to drive, she backed up at a high speed, causing pedestrians to get out of the way. The woman then drove on the wrong side of the road for one and a half blocks and ran a stop sign before being stopped.

A 61-year-old Urbana woman and a 64-year-old Urbana man reported that an unknown offender damaged yard lights at their house on the 1700 block Cottage Grove Road on Sunday morning.

University:

An unknown subject stole eyeglasses, a T-shirt and a room key from residents at Forbes Hall while they showered Sunday, according to a police report.

A Forbes Hall resident reported he was tricked out of $30 on Dec. 7 by a man who claimed he needed the money to pay a locksmith to open his car, according to a police report.

A University library employee reported a patron was caught defacing a book worth $50 last Tuesday, according to a police report.

The rear license plate of a vehicle parked outside of Sherman Hall was reported stolen before Friday, according to a police report.
