Champaign:

• Three people were robbed at gunpoint at the 1500 block of North Neil Street on Friday.

According to a police report, an unknown offender took identification and credit cards, keys, a paycheck, money and blue jeans before fleeing the scene.

• A 25-year-old man was arrested Saturday at the 1000 block of East Garwood Street for possession of a controlled substance.

According to a police report, the man was stopped because he fit the description of a suspect in a theft. When the officer approached the man, he threw an item on the ground that was later identified as crack cocaine.

• A 34-year-old White Heath, Ill., man was arrested Thursday at the 200 block of South Neil Street for aggravated battery.

According to a police report, the man was yelling at the victim and then struck him from behind while the two were having a physical altercation.

• The Furniture Lounge, 9 E. University Ave., was burglarized on Friday by an unknown offender.

According to a police report, the offender entered the store through the back basement door and stole a television, guitar, stereo and cash from the store and office in back.

• A 59-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man had various items taken from their residence at the zero block of Apricot Drive on Thursday.

According to a police report, the offender took a suitcase, DVD player, VHS movies and clothing. The offender had not been located at the time of the report.

Urbana:

• A 19-year-old female was robbed by two unknown offenders at the 1500 block of East Washington Street on Saturday.

According to a police report, the offenders approached the victim in a convenience store, demanded an item, dragged the victim outside and punched her several times. Anticipating the attack, the victim had given the item to a friend.

• Police arrested a 31-year-old Peoria, Ill., woman Thursday at the 500 block of North Cunningham Avenue for possession of a controlled substance.

According to a police report, the woman was inside a car in a parking lot when an officer approached her. She agreed to a search of the car and herself. The officer found four small bags containing a white powder substance in the car and a bag containing a white rock in her pocket.

• A 19-year-old Monticello, Ill., man was arrested Friday at the 600 block of West Park Street for possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a police report, the man was receiving medical treatment at a local hospital. When he was moved to a bed, the drug paraphernalia fell out of his clothing and onto the floor.

• Bo Rics, 114 N. Vine St., was burglarized on Friday by an unknown offender.

According to a police report, the offender forced entry through the back door and stole a television, DVD player, mini fridge, hairclippers and money.
