Urbana

Two 22-year-old men were arrested early Thursday morning for several drug possession and assault charges.

According to a police report, Urbana police responded to a possible domestic incident in progress at an apartment at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Birch Street. They heard loud screaming coming from the apartment and when the occupants answered the door, the officers saw drugs and ammunition. The offenders were taken to jail.

A 39-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol early Thursday morning at the 1700 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue.

According to a police report, Urbana police received an anonymous tip that a driver leaving an apartment complex was intoxicated. The officer found the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver showed signs of impairment and admitted to drinking. He was taken to jail.

An unknown suspect broke a window at the Nuclear Engineering building on Wednesday.

According to a police report, no arrests have been made.

A 47-year-old woman who works at the Education Building reported that she received a threatening message on her voicemail on Nov. 14 from an unknown caller.
