A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Friday night for possession of cannabis and drug equipment at the 3000 block of East Washington Street.
According to a police report, the boy was stopped for a traffic violation and the officer saw marijuana seeds and drug equipment in plain view in the vehicle. The boy and an 18-year-old male passenger each had a bag of marijuana in their pockets. The 18-year-old was also arrested.
A 33-year-old man was arrested for retail theft on Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Philo Road and Colorado Avenue.
According to a police report, he had set off security alarms at the Osco Drug store, 1818 S. Philo Road, but left the store. Officers found him with four stolen CD players. He was taken to jail.
